alfa gt 2l jts unstable idle

Hello,

I have a probleme on my alfa gt 2l jts: slightly unstable idle
I tried the throttle reset both manual an with FES but no change.

I observed on FES with the key ON (engine OFF) the throttle degree varies slightly by 0.05 degrees. Does it mean the the butterfly valve is broken?

Hello,

same here and afaik thats quite normal for our JTS. And the opening and close valus slightly differ (in my case ) between 0 and 101 %. If you do a reset, drive the engine warm, stop at a parking lot, reset and take a long drive (with a long highway trip) so you cover as much traffic/driving situatios as possible (including full throttle). But i don't think, that it will cure the idle issue...

Thanks for the reply.
I found on the internet that there was a recall for a similar probleme but only for the 1.9 jtd engines. the solution was a complet reprogramation of the ECU.

I just boutgh an used butterfly valve on ebay. hope it will solve the probleme.
