I just purchased the full package - leads / adapters / software for my daughters 52 plate punto 1.2 8V. There was a problem with the speedo and it was cheaper to change it with one from a scrapyard and buy the multiecuscan kit than take it to a dealer to get fixed. I upgraded to v2.7 immediately (didn't even try 2.6.1) managed to do the proxy alignement OK then tried the diagnostics for everything else to check whether there was a "hidden histrory". The car has been clocked - what a surprise original speedo read 99K - ECU read 168K. After a bit more digging around the ECU would not connect to the airbag system, and then crashed out every time I tried to connect thereafter. As a last resort I uninstalled 2.7, cleared out the system registry and installed 2.6.1 - the program worked perfectly after that. Is there a problem with version 2.7? Has anyone else found v 2.7 crashing like this. Also the original odometer reads 99K and the ECU reads 168K (this just happens to be the diference between Km and miles). I need to adjust the mileage on the new speedo to match the correct mileage. BTY the MOT is at 92K and the replacement speedo is 56K - can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks.
Kev
Multiecuscan 2.7 - crashing
Re: Multiecuscan 2.7 - crashing
That is very interesting. Please give me some more info...
So, after you tried to connect to the airbag the program started crashing and after that crashed for every module (or only for airbags)?
How many interfaces do you have in Settings (version 2.7 works with up to 4 interfaces)? And which type of interfaces (VagCom, ELM)?

Re: Multiecuscan 2.7 - crashing
Ok, I can confirm now that it is a bug in version 2.7.
It happens when you have only one interface configured in Settings and that interface cannot connect to selected module (like connecting to airbag with ELM interface, or connecting to Body Computer with VagCom interface).
I will have to post version 2.7.1 soon.

Yani,
Thanks for confirming the bug - I thought I was losing my mind (I am a complete novice at this). Will wait for 2.7.1 with anticpation.
Any advice on the mileage problem "Also the original odometer reads 99K and the ECU reads 168K (this just happens to be the diference between Km and miles).
