FiatECU Scan as iPhone App?

Post by schelle_pelle »

Hello,

Its just a thought, but a very interesting one, to my point of view... Maybe it is possible for you to develope a iPhone App which connects via Bluetooth Interface to the ECU and offers the same opportunities as Multiecuscan does...

Ciao!

It would require writing a completely new application in completely different programming environment. I don't know the language in which FES is written, but if it is written in .NET managed code i should be quite easy to port it to Windows Mobile 5/6 platform, but unfortunately not for Windows Phone 7.

Is there any particular reason why you want to use X code 4? There's still a bit of issues in stability and overall functionality. Personally, having read i Phone programming books too while X code 4 was available, I'd recommend using X code 3 to start. Once you finish it, you can transfer to X code 4 with the help of docs or the internet. While the difference is not too big, you might get frustrated if things don't fall in place, especially project settings and things like that.
