Grande Punto, 500, MITO, Punto Evo

Post by yani »

Hi,

It seems that there is a problem with some ELM interfaces and these vehicles. Many people can not connect to the engine ECU.
The problem is completely resolved now and I'm preparing version 2.6.1 and will probably publish it tomorrow. It will work properly with all ELM327 interfaces.
There was also a problem with the "Scan" function in version 2.6 which is also resolved in 2.6.1.

There is one more thing to mention about these vehicles. In order to access some modules (like Service Interval Reset) you need a modified ELM327 interface. The two CAN lines which are originally connected on pins 6 and 14 should be moved to pins 1 and 9. DO NOT SHORT pins 1-6 and 9-14.

Hi,

just to give you an idea which ECU´s are connected to HIGH SPEED CAN (CAN C, pins 4, 16) and which are connected to LOW SPEED CAN (CAN B, pins 1,9):

OBD PIN: FIAT GRANDE PUNTO

4-16 : Motor, ABS, Power Steering,
1-9 : Airbag, Instrument, Tyre Inflation, Air Condition, Driver information, Service Interval, Parking Aid
