Correct Cable to use?

Post by darren »

Hi,
I've been reading all the posts about what cable might and might not work etc.

I have a Punto Grande 2007 model I believe this will be supported on the next release? If this is correct would the below cable suffice?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0700078050

I can solder the resistors and capacitors if necessary, but would prefer not to if its not really necessary.

that device type is correct.
But It's one of the cheapest over internet...maybe it's not the best choice because it could be a bad bad clone or a good one...
I would search further...maybe from someone in your country, more secure for any aftersale problem you could have...

grande punto is not supported yet but it will be soon.

Yes this cable is OK! Version 1.3 or 1.4 should work with Grande Punto!
You can buy even cheaper one! I think the cheapest one are about 20US$! All of them should work!
When you are buying on eBay always check "positive feedback" from sellers! You can learn a lot from it especially if you read negative and neutral feedback! ;)

before you buy the ELM interface I would advise you to go on this web site:
http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx and there you going to see details about your car and connection FES and cables that you need and pins...

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I have a 2007 Grande Punto, when its supported in the software I'll take another look at cables. Its had to decipher which cables are junk and which ones would be the right ones to get.
