Do you have a JTD?

Post by Xen »

I have a Stilo with the 115 JTD engine and am experiencing very bad MPG at the moment.

Can someone with one of the 1.9 JTD engines please please please confirm to me what figures they get on a cold engine at idle for 'Desired air intake quantity' and 'Air intake quantity,' just so i can get a rough idea where the figures should be.

I suspect mine are waaay out and hence causing my poor economy, but i'd just like confirmation before i shell out for a new MAF sensor :|

Thank you sooo much! :D

Hi,
I have Lybra with 2.4@140hp JTD engine.

If you want to compare fuel consumption - check this one
http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/detail/290347.html

I'm driving approx 80% outside the city.

Attached you can find test run for 25 km and approx time 30 minutes. Refresh time is 30 entries per minute .
Normal drving style, with few "pedal to the metal" moments.
'Desired air intake quantity' and 'Air intake quantity are included, so you can compare.
I also added formulas for Moment Consumption L/h and Fuel consumption L/100. in last two columns.

Cheers

p.s Car/engine condition is very good.

Thanks! Yes it certainly seems like your intake quantity and desired quantity run alongside each other nicely... I think my problem may lie there!

Thanks for your help! :D
