No Connect in Bravo Elm 327 v. 1.4

I have Fiat Bravo 1.6 ten years old. When I connect Elm 327 v 1.4 with fiat cable to my car
fiat ecuscan say ”you need K-line/vagCom/OBDKey interface to connect this module”.

I don't understand why It is not working. I tried same Elm 327 to my friends Volvo and Ford and cable was working. Why not in my Fiat. Can somebody help me?

because every car uses different comunication protocols...
So, your elm device could work on a car and does not in other one.

If you choosed the right car model on multiecuscan, and it says "you need K-line/vagCom/OBDKey interface to connect this module", 99% that ECU uses K-line protocol; so you need a kkl cable.

Keep in mind that some 1.6 Fiat Bravo are equiped with IAW 1AF ECU which is NOT supported currently by FES.
