It's just the remote control.
New keys should come pre-coded from FIAT according to the chassis number of vehicle.
As far as I'm informed, no way to buy a megamos Crypto 48 chip and simply reprogram as some information will be missing.
It's the kind of keys that the locksmith cannot reproduce, even with the latest equipment as some informations cannot be read from teh original chip.

yes , youmust first read the eeprom from the body computer the see what pin code it has .
from the bin file you can arrange and make a precoded chip 48 to the specific car ( body computer ) .
then the last action you register the new keys with the precoded transponder to the car .
