elm327 ver 1.4

Hi i have an obd interface elm327 ver 1.4. I try to use the multiecuscan version 2.3.1 wiht windows xp on a standard notebook, and with windows 7 on a netbook. I'have installed the correct driver and when i configure the interface in the software the test is failed. I check the port configuration and the speed but never change. Is the elm327 ver 1.4 compatible with the software? or is my interface broken?

Genuine Elm 327 Ver 1.4 should work just fine. This is what I use.

I reponded you in another thread in this forum, I can't tell you that I bought my tool from ebay.com but I can't tell from which seller because I will make advertising to him and he didn't make me any discount. And for me that is fair enough.
What I can advise you is to buy one elm327 tool which isn't it version 1.5 and which dosen't look like op-com interface because that ones are version 1.1
the other ones that they sait that are version 1.3 or 1.3a are good.
I purchesed to buy an elm327 v1.3a and when tested it is 1.4 My lucky day.
Or you can buy one which has inside an original chip of elm327 v1.4 from skapang.com but its very, very expecive abd it dosen't worth it.
