Fiat 500x Uconnect 7.0 CarPlay

Hello, everyone.

I wanted to replace Uconnect 6.5 with Uconnect 7.0 for CarPlay on my Fiat 500x.

I have a Fiat 500x 2015 2.4L ZF9.

I bought a Uconnect and usb hub made in 2021 (07357457700).

Based on the specialist's recommendation, I previously increased the size of the Proxy to 250. Encoded the blocks and performed the Proxy alignment.

As a result, Android Auto works well. But CarPlay is not. When I connect the iPhone with a cable, the charging indicator appears on the phone, which disappears after 1 second, and after about 5 seconds, charging appears again for 1 second. And this is infinitely cycle.

Could you please help me what is the problem in my situation? I would greatly appreciate the community's help.

I tried your advice, but I could not save this configuration. When selecting such a file, I get an error from the ECU that some values are out of range.

No, I couldn't even apply this proxy configuration. I got an error saying that this configuration could not be saved because some values were out of possible range. The error was from the ECU

Hello Mosby,

Thanks to you i manage to complete my car (1.4T 500X with ZF9) with 7'' Uconnect.

My Costum Proxi with or w/o DRL Menu are at other topic of mine.

İ couldn't try AA / ACP because my usb unit is old one from 5'' uconnect.

As far as i know Carplay needs USB 3.0 and your USB unit needs to support USB 3.0 also, maybe your problem is related to this necessity.

I have an update on my situation, maybe someone will find this information useful.

I got a USB hub from Renegade and I installed it, CarPlay worked!

It means that the problem is definitely in my hub. Even though it is new and produced in 2021, not all new hubs support CarPlay. This one definitely does not: 07357457700

Yes, problem is usually in USB hub, and also after some new Uconnect 7 update is necessary to swap USB hub to new one - without AUX jack... With two USBs and AUX port after update Carplay and Rearview Camera are freezing...

Hi again,

I solve and improve my issue with a device called smartbox which is connected to head unit via usb.

Now i have Wireless CarPlay on Uconnect 7''.

Also i hide it under the head unit compartment, there is plenty of space to hide that kind of small device.
Original usb port cable now is dismanteled and i used a Mini USB to Type C cable to connect the smart box to Uconnect 7.

Maybe this would help who suffers this kind of usb port problems for Apple CarPlay.
