Obdlink bluetooth compability

Post by Jimware »

Hello evryone. I have many years the first obdlink bluetooth adapter that has also usb connection. I attach the photo of the interface to understand better. I would like to use it on qubo for proxi alignment but i also need the yellow cable. So i tried to fix the adapter but my obdlnk cable its from 9pin serial to obd II plug but has no full pins. For example i dont have pin number 1 in male to connect it to pin 6 on female. So my question is is there any cable from 9pin serial to obd II with full pin support or i must purchase a newer obdlink interface?

I think you will need a new OBDLINK interface. Pin 6 is CAN-H line and I suspect your old interface does not support the CAN protocols which are very different to the various old serial ones.

So it's time for a new interface... maybe I will go for the new obdlink sx because I am very happy from my old obdlink adapter. He served me very well all that years. Thank you a lot for your reply.

I have the OBLINK SX and a quality ELM interface. Personally I find the OBDLINK SX much better.
