Hi,
This is my first post so hopefully in the correct area - I have a liecencsed version of Multieciscan and need some help.
I will be removing a faulty Aitbag ECU from my Fiat Bravo 2008 and replacing it with a used working Airbag ECU from another vehicle. As far as I understand the process would go like this -
1. Copy the current proxy - Connect to the body computer using the CAN setup/Proxi Alignment menu. Go to the "Adjustments" tab. Press Ctrl+Alt+C on your keyboard. A window will open entitled "Custom Proxi" containing a string of hexadecimal characters. Select the entire contents. Copy the string of characters into Notepad / Word and save.
2. Remove the old faulty airbag ECU and fit the working used airbag ECU.
3. Open Multiecuscan and clear all errors.
4. Run a Proxy Alignment
Have i missed anything?

Re: Airbag ECU Replacement - Proxy Alignment
Make sure your part number on the new ecu is excaclty the same as on the old ecu. It is a good idea to copy the proxy code, but probally don't need to copy the old code in the car. Only a simple allignment should be enough.
