Very happy to accept me in this forum and it is my first post about MES
My question is:
Uconnect 5 language can be changed with MES(custom proxy)
I always update Uconnect 5 to the latest firmware and I have never had a language problem, language is changed directly from Radio Uconnect, but this time I cannot change the language from Italy to Spanish
I have Uconnect 5 on bench with Fiat 500L 2014 Body Computer working great

it may depend on the language stored on the body. with the latest updates the language cannot be changed until the unit is installed and aligned. what connections do you have between the body to the uconnect?

Every time I repair Uconect 5 it is aligned with the Body computer on the bench for basic testing (I do not have the instrument panel, microphone and speakers connected)
This Body computer model 51965993 is fitted to all Alfa and Fiat cars in the EU.
(I don't know if you have several languages installed??? how can I check??)
Programming date is 03/05/2014 (this model can be updated, do you have the update for this model?)
After alignment, I can change logo and much more (to change VIN in Uconnect5 I can't, or I don't know how!!!)
My question is: can you change language in Uconnect 5 with MES and what is the Bit to change????

Hi!
You cant change language primary via mes (proxi) but you can change country on BYTE 107... Some country setting has pre-defined language (Italy=italian Poland=polish etc...)
You can change language on every uconnect in menu, but there are about 7 languages only... No more...

Last question: how to change VIN on Uconnect 5?
When I align with MES and body computer at the bench, the VIN is blank, at Uconnect 5

VIN Change is not possible at used units...
