ELM327->ECU Connection failed!

Post by Ronthedob »

Hi,

Connection is fine to engine but I can't connect up to the Service.

Error message:
  • "Connection Failed
    ELM327->ECU Connection failed!
    Check your cable and serial port settings"

Any ideas on what is wrong?

Thanks

Hi,

USB cable replaced.
All settings as recommended in the Multiecuscan user guide.

Connection to "Engine" always works correctly.
Connection to "Service" gets the error message.
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, updated.

Any ideas on what is wrong? Answers much appreciated.

Thanks

Looking at the Doblo listings there are quite a few. What Type Number is your Doblo.

I ask because a) you might need an adaptor cable A3 or (b) despite Service saying ELM a KKL interface may be required. With (b) the software does not tell you this.

Hi and thanks,

It all worked ok last year and I could access the "Service" tab and do the reset.
This year I'm using the same kit as last year but now I'm getting this error message.
Can't fathom out what is wrong.

Any help very much appreciated.

Cheers

OK.

Do again and then use the "Send Report" (along bottom of MES screen) and then EMail MES Support.

Went to do the "Send report" and found it has miraculously got itself fixed.

Probably down to a Windows issue.

Laptop did another update and now "Service" function is back.

Thanks
