Have a nice day! There would be a problem that multiecuscan has a timeout on the kkl vag-com interface. I get this error message when setting port.

"VagCom / KKL

Testing latency with 200 bytes of data ...
There was a timeout during the operation. "
port setting timeout set to speed 9600. Multiecscan throws the same error. Interface chip FTDI ft232rl drivers are installed correctly. Please help! Auto for which it would need Fiat Brava 1.6 16v 1998 year elm 327 not read, program 3.6 registered. Thank you for your help!

Hi,

I am trying to connect to Fiat Bravo 2 (t-jet 150, 2008.) body computer.
I am using a cable from idiagnostics which I previously ordered for Fiat Stilo 1.4. (it worked fine)
When I connect the cable to Bravo Obd2 port, warning start to appear on the instrument cluster (ASR off, Hill holder unavailable....etc) and the car won’t start.
After the cable is disconnected, the car start with no trouble and no errors are shown.

Is the problem the interface (resistance, capacitance between pins), or are the wrong pins on the obd cable used?
I am attaching the photos of the cable circuit board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Konnwei KW902 BlueTooth dongle, had similar, in fact same problem as many ELM327 OBD2 scanners.

Basically I could only connect to ECU and Aisin automatic gearbox on my 159 '09, everything else it couldn't connect to... problem was 120Ohm resistor between pin 6 and 14, that I removed.

Here is picture where is that resistor on the board, so if anyone has similar problems, it's an easy fix.

BTW, not sure that all Konnwei boards are the same, mine looks like this.

Had same problem on my 159 with cheap ELM327 from ebay (blue see through one), got my self a Konnwei KW902 (did a resistor mod on it), and all works fine.

I am trying to connect to a Fiat 500 with the yellow cable.

MES can see the interface fine and says "This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules."

However when I try and connect to Body > CAN Info it fails (I am using the demo/free version)

I have measured the resistance between pins 6 and 14 is open circuit so it looks like there is no resistor to remove.

Any ideas what to try next?

The board does not look the same as many others and uses a CH340G USB to serial chip.

Scanmaster dectects the ECU, multiecuscan does not.

Hi,
I bought a elm327 btclone on Ali to activate rearcamera on my fiat 500l. In MES I have all passed test but when I try to go in can bus I habe the error "can bus error.check if interface is properly connected to the vehicle and correct vehicle model". I just removed the 120ohm resistor (my board is like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tsSYDv-dSA) and connected with yellow cable. I just tried the low latency flag in MES but nothing is changed.

Do someone have suggestions? Thx u

Lately I bought this OBD2 Wireless unit and the yellow cable (checked this with multimeter).

4 - 4
5 - 5
6 - 1
7 - 12
14 - 9
16 - 16

Canbus can be read, buty with Proxi Alignment I receive the error unreliable connection.
Do I need to specify speed or something in MES (official version, for € 50).

Measured between pin 4 and 14, 60 Ohm

Do I need to remove something or is 60 Ohm allright?
