Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello. I have same problem. Can connect to engine, but can't connect to CAN modules. My ELM 327 interface has a chip CH340G. I will post some pictures of the board and if some one can help me i would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
Anyone can point me what I have to change to make this interface work properly with multiecuscan?
Thanks in advance

hello, I have this elm I don't have the resistor.
I still can't connect with the can network,
the pins of the can network counting from the left are exactly the number 6-7 the cleanest ones with the pond.
they start directly from the integrated vc1040, (clone of TJA1040) thank you in advance for your help.

I’ve posted this to add to the library of images in this thread highlighting the large number of different elm327 circuit board designs.
To get my elm327 Wi-fi interface to work with a yellow adapter cable I removed the 120ohm resistor R4 shown below bridging pins 6 and 7 on the adjacent MCP2551 chip. The Wi-fi board plugs into this one using the 4 pin plug at the top of the photo

Hello friends, I can only connect to the engine with the device below.
I removed the resistor in the picture, it did not work again, what should I do

Hello folks,
After reading through some of the posts, I decided to join in with my bit, hoping this is helpful to someone.
On my board it was R2 and you can see the position in the photos. I removed the resistor, it was also marked 121 on top.
Fixed everything and I was able to use multiecuscan with no issues and do proxy alignment. The first post on this thread has a very helpful diagram which helped me identify the chip that has 8 connections, of which connections 6 and 7 lead to the resistor I needed to remove and then onwards to connector 6 and 14 in the OBD plug.
I hope this helps and thank you all for your advice and experience.
