Hello forum,
me and this Bl**dy punto evo again.
long story short I'm 99.99% sure there is an ecu fault on the car and want to try another ECU. Can Multiscan pair the immobiliser and the ecu to work together?
many thanks.

No I do not believe so.
It is my understanding that the key unit and engine ECU "self pair" when either one of them is "virgin" (factory cleared). Any replacement/trail ECU you with to use must be in a virgin state and then the units will pair. However this will leave your original ECU immobilised.

Hi,
If you buy second hand used engine ECU you have to put find someone who can read flash from old ECU and copy it to the new (used) ECU.
In some cases, car will not start immediately so you need it give it few tries or make longer start…
Before you buy used ECU check the numbers on the label…
