Alfaobd can adjust both of those no problem. Did you buy the program, cable, and adapters?

so what does alfaobd do that multiecuscan doesnt do that will fix missing menus after changing speedo

multiecuscan can and will edit the proxy bits. You can change everything in there BUT you cannot see what each proxy bit does.
Alfaobd doesn't show you the proxy bits but does have a drop-down menu that shows all of the parameters you can change.
I ended up wanting to use the new (2019) display in my 2013. I first saved a copy of my original proxy string (in case I ever want to revert to my old cluster). Then I copied a proxy string from a 2019 abarth with the same features as my 2013 (other than Uconnect) and then replaced my proxy string with that.
Because my ECU doesn't support a 144 bit proxy string, I then deleted the extra 57 or so bits to get the new string to be the same length as my original string. I then did the proxy alignment. Upon doing that correctly, it did the alignment without errors.
Next I opened up Alfaobd and when through all the options in there to enable and disable the features I wanted.
Then I disabled the TPMS with Alfaobd.
Then I programmed my maestro idatalink to say that I had a 2019 fiat abarth. This means that the stereo imitates Uconnect which the cluster is looking for. The ecu is old and doesn't look for uconnect so it will now cause the odometer to flash but it will be talking to the cluster now.
Now the stereo can talk to the cluster (but not the ecu)
Next I went into my aftermarket (Pioneer) stereo and changed the units to MPG and fixed the clock and date.
Then I programmed my maestro idatalink to say that I had a 2013 fiat 500 turbo (what I actually have). Now the ecu can see the stereo AND the cluster.
The stereo is NOT talking to the dash though. It doesn't need to as the cluster remembers its settings.
Now I'm done! Date and time are correct (though to change them if the battery goes flat I will have to flash idatalink to a 2019 fiat again)
The ecu is talking to the cluster because the proxy bit length is correct. The TPMS light is out on the dashboard but the pressures are now read by my stereo (and I turned on the stereo's alert if they get low).
The odometer doesn't blink because ecu can talk to both the cluster and the stereo (through idatalink)

Well my new tft speedo was from a 2016 model same as what i put it into , the display was from a sport model but once the proxy alignment was done it reverted to a different view which is to do with byte 65 but doesnt account for items missing from menu both strings were the same lenght ?

Two things...you cannot get the menus. They aren't programmed into that cluster. You need to adjust settings through the uconnect stereo or an aftermarket stereo that supports idatalink maestro.scooke2k2 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2020, 22:01 Well my new tft speedo was from a 2016 model same as what i put it into , the display was from a sport model but once the proxy alignment was done it reverted to a different view which is to do with byte 65 but doesnt account for items missing from menu both strings were the same lenght ?
Second, it isn't as simple as changing a byte to get the abarth or 595 sport views. Mine came from a 595 and my display was very cool. I then proxy aligned it and it went to the sport view which is quite bland in comparison. In order to get that old view back, I did a search for someone's proxy code who had that view. I then replaced my proxy code with that one. Yes it is too long. Then I counted out the bytes and deleted all th extra bytes.
Now you can do the proxy alignment and get the other view. Can't stop there though, you'll need to change the options to match what your car has. I purchased alfaobd to do this as alfaobd doesn't require a proxy alignment to make most of the changes.

ok but since changing the cluster the menus in uconnect have dissapeared , if i put my old cluster back in they should reappear correct ?
