SGW Module Detected

Post by ricocerda01 »

I have the newest SGW Bypass installed from Alfissimo. When connecting to the BODY - CAN SETUP/PROXY ALIGNMENT, I get the following ERROR:

WARNING SGW MODULE DETECTED

I am using Multiecuscan 4.6R1

Any suggestions?

I think MES says that it is detecting the missing SGW because MES is looking at proxi or other data to make this determination.

Suggest you try a simple actuator test (eg connect to the body computer and turn a light off and on, or connect to the engine ECU and test the engine fan). If the test works then the SGW is obviously not there (yes I know you removed it) but at least you will have a better understanding.

I tried to test the fan: FAILED TO EXECUTE.

all I can see is warning, it's not error. find module with errors inside and try to delete them - in case of success sgw bypass module works fine. otherwise something wrong with it.

I cleared the errors and went through the steps to enable race mode, but it is not indicated anywhere. NO ABS off on dash etc. and teh DNA knob does not highlight for RACE

Are you turning DNA knob far enought? When you meet first resistance you need to turn even further.

You're not the first one DNA knob has fooled ;)
SGW warning is due to it's presence in proxi config. That's however has no impact performing changes or adjustments.

I went with Type 3/DNA/Sport but I only show ESC OFF and SPEED CONTROL OFF as being disabled on my dash while in Race MODE.

I have a 2018 TI Sport

Is that normal for TYPE 3 DNA?

you don't have lane guidance and front collision warning so you will see ESC and cruise off indicators.

you can also try type 2. don't remember exact differences between type 2/3.
