Hi Guys
I am considering getting the paid version and using the leads in the link below to get rid of my flashing mileage
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Diagnostics-Italian-Cars-Fiat-Alfa-ELM-OBD2-cables-adapters-MULTIECUSCAN/281712496622
It started flashing after I replaced the airbag module last week, the airbag lights have all gone out and no errors anymore, but now the flashing Mileage!
So I assume a Proxi Alignment will solve this now?
Question is this statement I found regarding the ELM 327 not being suitable for a Proxi reset?
Bluetooth OBDKey, ELM 327 and OBDLink interfaces are fully supported but not recommended for special functions (like PROXI Alignment, remote control programming, IMA coding, etc.)!
Can anyone confirm I can actually perform this Proxi (and it will work) using the leads and the paid version of the software, or do I need something else?
Thanks
ELM 327 For Proxy
Re: ELM 327 For Proxy
For such critical operations it's better to use USB adapters. In case of any connection problems through BT you might end up seriously damaging or bricking ecu. I think adapters through wifi work but maybe someone else say more about them, as I have not used them.
Re: ELM 327 For Proxy
Hi
I am not planning on using Bluetooth, or WiFi to connect, just the normal wired connection.
My questions is would I need the adapters for the Proxi Reset, or does the ELM just connect and do the job without the connectors?
I think I may need the Yellow adapter, as it is used for CAN but I just need some confirmation before I end up buying things I do not need for the Proxi

Re: ELM 327 For Proxy
then what was the point of your question in first post if you weren't going to use BT?
