ELM problems

Hello,
I am a verry long term user of MES and it is running on an old laptop with XP wich I only use for MES.
Recently my ELM327 stopt working. Because it was old and the cable a bit dammaged, I thought it was the cable.
So I bought a new ELM327. The KKL is working fine.
However when I now plug in the new ELM, the laptop does not recognize it as a Com port.
What am I doing wrong? Because of the running without problems, it is more then 8 years ago when I first installed it. I do not know annymore how I installed it.
I can allso not find an first time installation guide from MES.
Do you have a link for this?

Problem solved. I preparred a new laptop. The old one was getting to old I geuss.
Registered the new laptop and everything is ok.
