Does anyone know if the combination Fiatecuscan which is Multiecuscan v3.4.2 and ELM327 v 1.5a works on a Fiat Ducato x250 2.3-120pk from 2011 ?
I try it but it does not connect with the ecu
OBDautodoctor works.
I download free version of Multiecuscan v4.2 and when I push F10 it connect to the ecu even it stops directly and I get the message that I only can start simulate.
Is that normal with the unregistered version ?
Version 3.5.2 versus 4.2
Re: Version 3.5.2 versus 4.2
If you look at the vehicle support list
http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx
then you will see that the Ducato 250 engine ECU is listed in red. This means that it is not supported in the free version of MES and therfore you can only simulate.
The last FREE vesion of FiatECUScan was V1.6 dated 26/01/2010. Releases for FES since then, and of course MES have had function limitations when unregistered.

Re: Version 3.5.2 versus 4.2
Sorry for being incomplete but my 3.5.2 version is registered but does not connect with the Ducato ecu, I use that befor with mij previous car a Doblo from 2007
If 4.2 does work with my Ducato then ofcourse I will register that again but if 3.5.2 should work with my Ducato then I prefer to keep 3.5.2

Re: Version 3.5.2 versus 4.2
You raise an interesting point that is not obvious to back track. i.e. what vehicles were supported release by release.
Clearly the latest release and list of supported vehicles and ECUs is definitive.
Back tracking through release information and supported ECU identities and then mapping to specific vehicles is possible but I guess this is an exercise for each individual looking for specific vehicle/ECU support in legacy FES/MES releases.
