Alfa Brera 2010 2.4
Tried to use fully registered multiecuscan ver 4 for first time using good elm3.27 interface adaptor v1.4.with ignition on, and cable connected to port. it will not connect.message is connection failed, check your cable and serial port settings.this i have done including interface settings and test. all is ok, but will not connect. cannot fault anything.
Someone please help need to do a proxy realign.

Had to use genuine ELM327. Then it worked.

I'm not trying to do anyone out there in the OBD ELM/other out of business or an injustice but when it comes to MES then all the MES recommended suppliers offer fully working hardware solutions that work with MES and on Fiat/Alfa/Jeep/Lancia/.... cars. Other sources also supply hardware that works but as yet nobody has built a definitive list of these suppliers.
