Help!! Alfa 156 '01 ISO Connection Problems

Hi there!

Wondering if anyone can help me, i'm having an ISO connection problem with my Alfa.
It is a 2001 built ALFA 156, 16v 2.0 TS Selespeed.

After installing the drivers and reducing the latency to my COM port i was finally able to connect, however now I have hit another wall with this issue.
I have not modified my VAG COM cable yet, must I modify before I can connect just to my ECU?
Could it be my ECU software is not supported, or something else?

you can try to connect without modification but I don’t think you will succeed! try without modification, you can not demage anything!
if you want to read ABS/AIRBAG/ENGINE ECU you need to make modification!

@Zygota - please prvide screenshot for this ISO error.
Most probably you selected wrong engine ECU, or your ECU is not supported yet.

To make connection to main engine ECU you don't need to modify vag-com cable.
You need to modify it only if you want to read ABS and Airbag ECU's.

hi, did you manage to connect? if so please could you tell me which cable you use.
i got a vag-com 409.1 ODB 2. and can not seem to connect it with my 2000 year 156 selespeed.
