Hello again,
Well, in this case the problem have to come from the 3 pin adapter but I repaired it because the GND pin was not connected to any OBD pin. It should work now but I always get "No ECU response".
I tried the connection to ECU with a KKL cable and I have problems with latency tests and I'm not able to get connection. I'm going to install a virual machine running Windows XP to see if the problem is related to Windows 7 and 10 which are the OS I tried, both 32 bit versions.
Baud rate is adjusted to 38200 for ELM and 9600 for KKL on both, device manager and MES interface configuration, tried all four COM ports (COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4), OBD pin connection is correct, ignition key is turned on with a fully charged battery....
I only have one question, the 3 pin adapter have 2 separate wires for ground and positive, I have to connect both or it should work only connecting the 3 pin connector? I tried both options and nothing works but is good to know how to connect properly.
Thank you so much for your answer.

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hi All,
I have a 2012 Fiat Ducato van with flashing mileage and a non functioning Blue and Me system...
After reading virtually every thread, i'm banging my head against a wall and need some help...
I have bought a Elm327 interface with USB and a set of adaptors for connection to the van, I can scan the ECU and get dashboard, airbag, parking sensors etc, but am unable to connect.
I have changed settings many times and have latency set to 1 but still nothing..
I thought it may be a faulty interface, so got the company to replace it.... exactly the same issue
I have even tried a Bluetooth interface and finally a wifi version.... still no joy...
next step I presume is to take to fiat garage - the part I was hoping to avoid, as reading between the lines I just need to do a Proxi Alignment???
Any help would be a bonus, the listing I bought the interface from is this:

Hi. I got problem as well at connecting multiecuscan and my car. I bought USB-OBD2 cable from Finnish re-seller. It should have 1.4 version of elm327. But I couldn't get it connected to multiecu, so i cant get any information of it. I got it connected to my computer for long fighting and installin FTDI drivers. And I set it to COM9. Computer recognize it as the port, no yellow marks or anything. When i try to make test for that COM9, it says that the COM9 usage is blocked or smt like that. Any helps?
Edit; Car is Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 2009

Hi, I have read more page of this topic and I don't find ad answer for my problem with a ELM327.
I have a FIAT Grande Punto, i bought a ELM327 and in MES I see it is the 1.5 version, I removed the R2 resistor situated between pin 6 and 14 but I have the same error in test:
attack image of the device:
(sorry if I attach the photos but I have error messages using the img tag)
now I have the ch340 driver at 38400 baud, with other driver It don't work. Now I test the configuration with MES in the last free version.
there is a way to make it work, or I can resign myself and buy another?
Thanks a lot.

Hello
The removal of the bridge resistor has nothing to do with the test for the interface !!!
Which driver you have installed?
I hope the driver has been linked several times here !!!
The Latency Time set to 1?
But unfortunately there are also some v1.5 ELM Interface that are not compatible with MES.
Greeting Eddy
Edit:
The yellow cable you have soldered ??
This you have to remove otherwise the two buses may interfere
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
With the driver included in cd rom I can't set the latency, with the driver linked in the past messages I Can set the latency but MES output a access denied on COM port
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello
This driver was already min. 100x linked here
for the vast number of USB chips this fits
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
The drivers on the CD are crap
I can not promise, of course, if your interface with this driver runs
Why did the Latency Time not changed?
I did not understand ???
Greeting Eddy
