Fiat 500 Airbag ECU codes won't reset

Hi all, I'm new to this Forum and have searched for this but can't find a solution.

I have repaired a Cat C write off and replaced 5 of the 7 airbags which had deployed. I was under the impression that I would be able to reset the Airbag ECU to reset the codes stored. It goes through the motions, but the codes are all still there. It connects to the ECU fine, when you hit reset codes, it appears to be doing something, but then they are all still there.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hello,

To reset any airbag unit after crash you need special programmer and special software to do that.
Normal diagnostic software can not do that...

Or buy new airbag unit or send your airbag unit which have crash data to someone who can repair it...
