ELM 327 cable

Hi there
I have a punto year 2002 1,2 16v with problem with elektro steering, i conneted my laptop with Multi ecu scan registred version, but it will not work only on engine ECU. Have then read for electric delphi i shall use ELM 327 connection. But which one to buy? anyone can help?

When i started to use MES for 4 year`s ago i bought a cable called KKL 409 USB, with this i can only connect to engine ECU not for steering, and now i have problem with steering so i need to read error codes for this. I have the registred version MES. and after reading instruction it seemes that i need a cable called ELM 327 but which one?

It Didn´t work , so i have returned the cable, and ordered the one you adwise me. Hopefully it will work so i can read error for electric steering on my son´s punto.

Did you mean the " test interface function"?
yes, and when run it say´s ok, but it will not connect, only on engine ECU where it make a fault code.
So therefor i ordered the one you send me a link and i hope it will work.
The problem with steering i hope it´s only the relay´s, them i also already have ordered from Germany, can´t
Find them here in Denmark.

With testing I mean
Select MES / Settings / Interfaces / used Interface / Test


Only then you can see whether the interface used works
only then remove the possibly existing bridge resistance.
