ISO = International Standards Organisation

There are many ISO Standards covering just about every aspect of our lives from Pig Farming to Space Technology.

Within each ISO Standard there may be the ability to record/register a particular number that uniquely identifies any given item.

Very much like the "Bar Codes" on all the other products we buy and use every day.

Hope this helps.

well well well... FIAT ISO CODE is ISO CODE for FIAT devices...

It is the identification of the hardware of each module with the loaded SOFTWARE. Each version is unique due to slight differences in the models of vehicles. But as I said before, even invalid iso codes you can properly read your module.
