Which Ducato?

Post by RoloPolo »

hi folks

new to the world of Multiecuscan and before i plow in, and cock everything up,

my van is a 2012 Euro 5 Fiat Ducato 3.0 180 power.

there are a few 3.0 X250 ducatos listed on the software, firstly can anyone tell me if the "facelift" ducato is the new 2014 on build OR the 2011 on Euro 5 spec but old shape? or how do i tell?

will it cock things up if i happened to select the incorrect vehicle

thanks in advance for any help

cheers

Hi Neil

Nothing can happen when you undertake a reading test on your Ducato.

Even if your vehicle is not listed.

Put your interface into the OBD socket.
Check the COM port settings

and press F11 (Scan)
If the controls are to be read with MES You will then be listed
and you can easily control the same, though in other vehicles
choose.

You can´t destroy anything with the software

"""You can destroy anything with the software""""

I think this should read:
You can destroy nothing with the software

Very good your suggestion, Alfaeddy. Many colleagues here have so much trouble but not exactly know which module need to connect to their diagnosis. Most of the time say that the year of manufacture of your vehicle but usually it does not matter.

For example, my brazilian Marea has a 2.4 20V petrol engine with automatic transmission Aisin, which never existed in Europe. Just knowing that the ECU is Bosch Motronic ME3.1 (like Marea '99 155 20V) and the transmission equipped the Alfa 156 or Lancia Thesis.

Hello Walter

Walter Correct, but there are so many differences in the models produced worldwide
