Multipla Bipower Gas ECU Metatron OMT 5D0 not supported

Post by pawel1812 »

Hello
Multipla Bipower 2002 has two ECU's. Magneti Marelli IAW 4AF/EF controls petrol injestrors and Metatron 5D0 controls CNG gas injectors. Both ECU's are connected together by CAN.
I try to connect to Metatron 5D0 Gas ECU, Multipla Bipower 2002. Interface is ELM327. There is no problem to establish connection with Marelli IAW 4AF/4EF, but communication with Metatron doesn't work. I tried to connect by Examiner and everything worked fine. I tried to connect to two Multipla's Metatron and effect is the same - Multiecuscan returns ELM327-CAN connect fault. I asked some people who has Multipla Bipower with Metatron ECU and everybody has the same problem.
I tried to connect to Multipla Bipower 2000's Magneti Marelli IAW 4GF Bipower Injection by the same ELM327 without any problem. Multipla Bipower 2000 has only one ECU.
I tried to use some another ELM327 interface - problem was the same.

Does anybody connect to Metatron 5D0? What interface did you use? What kind of protocol is use to connect with Metatron 5D0? Are both diagnostic lines K, L and CAN from Marelli and Metatron ECU's are connect together in diagnostic connector?
Maybe my ELM327 doesn't support protocol which is necessary to connect with Metatron. Probably, there is a prooblem with Multiecuscan - too many people has the same.

I don't open my interface because with other ECU's it works fine. I have Multiecuscan licence.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Hello Pawel 1812

I have no Bipower Multipla,
Only when I am in the list of "Supported Vehicles" see, can also be prepared with a KKL connect to Metatronic.

Have you ever tried it with a KKL interface?

Writing but it is a CAN link.
Then it would be useless KKL

And you can only help the information in this thread

What type of Metatron did you select in Examiner - OMT 5D0 or 5DO EOBD?
There are two types of this Metatron 5D0. The older one (which is named OMT 5D0 in the Examiner) is not supported in Multiecuscan. The newer model is marked as "5D0 EOBD" and it is supported in Multiecuscan.

I selected OMT 5DO in Examiner. Thanks, Yani for explain this problem for me and other users.
It is possible to add support for Metatron OMT 5D0 in future? This topic should be moved to Feature Request. Metatron OMT 5D0 was assembled for 06-2001 to 06-2002 and it still has no support. Only few very expensive commercial testers supports this ECU. It would be nice if Multiecuscan support OMT 5D0.
I think most Multipla Bipower users will buy Multiecuscan license if it supports this ECU.

Does anybody tried to change Metatron OMT 5D0 (5D0.2B0) to Metatron 5D0 EOBD (5D0.3B0)? Elearn says that Metatron doesn't need to program Immo. Connectors is the same.
