OOPS, EDITING...
OK
Well, these pictures were still confusing to me, because I could not see the whole circuit, I would like you to show the verse (wires connected to each switch), to make sure the switches are switching and not linking ... ie where are the wires that come from CONNECTOR PINS 1-9-12?
OK

Re: FES won't connect with Adapter Cable 3
I've told you that was a little messy!
Anyway, it work this way:
Normal: switches 1, 2, 3, ON. It means that wires 14, 6 and 7 go to pin 14, 6 and 7 respectively.
Like Adapter3: switches 1, 2, 3 OFF, 4, 5, 6 ON they go to pin 9, 1 and 12 respectively
Wire 14 goes from circuit to switch 1 and 4: from switch 1 goes to pin 14, from switch 4 goes to pin 9
Wire 6 goes from circuit to switch 2 and 5: from switch 2 goes to pin 6, from switch 5 goes to pin 1
Wire 7 goes from circuit to switch 3 and 6: from switch 3 goes to pin 7, from switch 6 goes to pin 12
Switch 7 is for Alfa: when is on, it links wire 7 to pins 12, 7, 9, 1.

I think the problem is that it's all linked together???Racing Man wrote:I've told you that was a little messy!

Uhm... In my interface, pin 12 wasn't connected at all! There was nothing soldered on it!
Before I made any mod the only pins connected was: 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 15, 16.

I don't think... because when switch 7 is off, nothing is connected... I've made this connection to imitate adapter 1 for my alfa!Waltomatic wrote:I think the problem is that it's all linked together???

Re: FES won't connect with Adapter Cable 3
This is no problem because there is no reading in the interface. The signal is sent by the vehicle connector pin 12 but read the interface on pin 7 (which always reads the K line). This pin is optional for use of the manufacturer and the Fiat chose to use it, so we use the adapter to send the signal always (mostly) on the line K... http://www.mbcluster.com/Media_Diagnost ... Re: FES won't connect with Adapter Cable 3
That's pretty confusing me... So why in my interface pin 12 wasn't connected from the beginning?
