I noticed something. Since I removed the resistor when I start torque when it is trying the different protocols the fuel arrow and the engine temperature arrow go up and down, the steering light appears on the dashboard and things like that.
However it doesn't connect with none of the protocols. Any ideas?
Hello Moxai
With this interface you can read without modifying the protocol SAE J1850
The changes described here have nothing to do with this kind of protocol.
What car do you want to read?
Alfa Fiat Lancia certainly not etc.

Hello Eddy,
According to this article http://www.iobd2.org/make-elm327-work-j1850-pwm/
v1.5 elm327 interfaces (cheap clones from chine) have wrong circuit implementation, and as such doesn''t work in PWM mode.
Even Torque Pro app warns me, that my interface will not work in this mode. According to the article it is possible to mod the circuit, but the descreption is about another version of the adapter. I've read that it should be possible to mod my version (super-mini), but due to its SMT circuity, it is more complicated.
Alfaeddy I also want to read my Electric Steering errors not only engine ones. I tried many different android apps but since I removed that resistor I can't connect with none of them. Today I will try with a laptop and multiecuscan and I hope it connects successfully.
Could you please tell me what the resistor was so I can buy and solder a new one in case it doesn't work with multiecuscan?
