Connecting to a ECU without a Car

Hello! I've purchased the license long time ago, and i'm very grateful to the owners because it help me a lot in my work (Electric powered steering technician). Now i'm about to renew it for new updates, but i got a new question

I need to diagnose the Electric power steering ECUS from some Fiat Cars (Fiat panda, Grande punto, punto, etc..) with the modules DISCONNECTED from the car, here i need some help!
I got:
- Electronic Fuchs ELM327 Bluetooh interface
- Adapters (Yellow, Green and red)
- "FiatEcuScan"
- A FIAT G. PUNTO EPS system like that:

With this connectors:

My question is, can i diagnose it without having the car? I mean whith the correspondient pins from ELM327 connected to battery, ground, and can bus lines!?

Merry Christmas

This should work but relatively easy

Connector A connecting 12 volts and minus
at the interface 12 volts on pin 16 and minus to pin 4 + 5

And the plug B to terminal 7 to pin 6 of the ELM Interface
and the terminal 8 to pin 14 of the ELM Interface

Hello AlfaEddy! Thanks for the info

So, i guess as long as ECU is powered with a 12V 65Ah car battery (as it was fitted in the car) and the properly lines connected i shouldnt have problems acceding modules, does ELM327 do all the rest of the work?

The problem you may have is the other sensors
such as Steering wheel sensor, steering force sensor warning light is missing
Therefore, a reading error will not provide useful results

Hello guys! I have been a bit busy with other work and couldnt try it, but after some tests i couldnt enter to the diagnose... I'm playing with CANBUS recently, and I think we are some "Wake up" packet, as ECU is always powered with 12V, same way when it's fitted on the car, but in the car, we have to turn on the key to put the car on ignition (that could be translated on sending to can bus lines the specific CANBUS packets for ignition...) Anyone have idea of what packets do I have to send? I have Kvaser Light Leaf High speed Can bus interface, so I have the hardware neccesary for it, I'm open to suggestions! thanks!

NOTE: I have a fiat Stilo, could the CAN BUS Packets be the same for the ignition message for other fiats? Thanks

The FlashPro is not communicating with the ECU. Unplug the FlashPro, disconnect the battery for a minute, and then see if the FlashPro can see the ECU. Dont forget about the radio code.
