Alfa 156 1.8 Connecting, but with errors

Post by Kersh »

Hi,

Im hoping you can help -

I can get error codes for airbag and abs for my alfa 156 1.8 2000 year, using the red and green leads, so I dont have any problem connecting.

The errors for ABS are -

LH Speed Sensor in OC
RH Sped Sensor in OC

However, for the abs errors, when I go to erase errors, I get the following screen -

Am I doing something wrong?

Apart from that, the KKL cable on its own wont connect to the car, neither will the ELMS one.

Thanks,

Stephen.

Hello Stephen

This panel comes each time you run the program?
There seems to be a Windows error.
Which driver did you install?
That was by the KKL from the CD?

Then'll try this here but take the 10/02/00

Hi Eddy,

No, it only comes up when I try erase those 2 codes.

There was a 3rd code (phonic teeth wheel) but it erased that code ok.

I just downloaded multiecuscan to the pc, connected the cables, and went from there.

This conflict happens to me sometimes (for no apparent reason) and I solve reinstalling Framework (2.0 with Windows XP).

Hi Guys,

I tried it with a completely different laptop, running Vista, and got the exact same thing. It cleared the error with the phonic wheel teeth issue, but when I tried to clear the other 2 , it displayed the same error.

Perhaps I should just change both sensors, and see where that leaves me?

Aside from this issue, it will do the airbag diagnostic ok, but will not connect directly with the KKL lead. Says theres a com port communication issue.

My NCT (Irish MOT) is on 10th DEcember, and need to get htese dash lights sorted :(
