Look my Name: Fiat Punto 188 HGT 1.8 Bj. 2002.

I can See the engine control Unit (in german steuergerät) But Not the boardcomputer. I Know that i need the Yellow Adapter for read the boardcomputer.

For your Punto you do not need a yellow adapter

Did you also remove the marked resistor ??


In order to clarify

For your Punto need no adapter for the ELM
The engine control unit (KWP2000) read with any protocol other than
the body computer (CAN bus)

To read the CAN bus protocol must be removed this bridge resistor.

This has been described here in this thread already 100 times


For ABS and airbag you need a KKL interface with Adapters

Today I have recived the new interface ELM327 who kindly Amazon seller sent me after I told him that the already received did not work.
This new work perfectly and seems to be the same in all (board and chip unit) at the first than don't work ("Connection timeout" message).
I have done the modify of remove resistence and I can connect with all CAN and non CAN module of my FIAT PUNTO 2012.
So...when I say that interface based on CH340T chip can't work is not a true.
After many hour spent trying to make the faulty interface work in some way, I can say one thing: if don't work very probably is a faulty one...ask
seller to refund or to send another (they know very well that a lot of they interface NOT work).

I got ELM USB v2.1. I removed resistor 122 Om but MES is not understanding this ELM.
In test I have result what it can't work with CAN. When I will try to connect I have error.
In what could problem

On some ELMs there are 2 resistors 121 if you have the right away
You can find the many boards that have been marked here in this thread I recognize

Have removed only by your statement that you have a resistor (122?), You can not say something here.

Very often the connection problems are also present, settings, drivers, and connections.

Thanx for so quick answer, I wrote wrong what it ELM USB. I have ELM BT v2.1. which don't want connect to ECU.
