I got this elm327 bluetooth it pair and connect but I get error saying that cannot connect to the ecu,does anyone knows how to fix this problem should I. Remove the r04 resistor thanks

- Which vehicle?
- Which model?
- Which driver?
- The Com port is set?
- The latency time was reset to 1?
- What was displayed when connecting?

Hey Guys. Just tried to connect my mini WIFI OBD interface to my pc today and didnt work out. Im using multiecuscan 1.4 registered. I tried updating to 2.1 but the licence doesnt seem to be valid there ^^

This is exactly what my Interface looks like



Every test run turns out working perfectly. but as soon as i want to connect ill get the error that there was no connection to the ecu possible.


Additional Information:
I can connect via android phone and torque. I can see real time data but i cannot read fault codes or anything else. so the functions are very limited..
Will i have to crack that thing open and kill the resistor everyones talking about here?

Im driving an alfa 159 2006

And i used a Bluetooth OBD Interface before but i thought it to be to slow so i switched to Wifi.

Hello Lintsch

It can actually act just a setting or connection error.
To the engine ECU and ABS ECU (with adapter), you should also be able to connect without removing the resistor so often described here.

So, as your interface is should work with the Alfa 159.

Just to service, CAN setup; Body Comp., ect. to connect must be removed this resistor


Your MES version 1.4 is older than a year, and provides Yani, from 1.0 unfortunately only
One year of update.

I thought the software OBDkey only works with the OBDkey Interface
and not with an ordinary commercial Bluetooth interface.

But am not sure ask, times when developers made after

so how to you propose to proceed now? Could it be a driver problem ? where can i find the correct drivers ?

and how do i even open the interface without cracking the surface?

edit: after thinking about it , it cant be a drivers problem as torque cant communicate correctly either

Da wir ja deutsch schreiben können ist das so wohl einfacher
und mein englisch ist eh nicht so besonders

Wenn du eine Verbindung zum Wifi Interface hast
und den Testbutton drückst welche Angaben kommen dann ?

Das Thema hier mit den Brückenwiderstand trifft erst mal nicht für dich zu
denn an deinem 159 wird der MotorECU und das ABS nicht über CAN Bus gelesen
sondern mit dem KWP2000 Protokoll


Also was wird angezeigt mit nach dem Test button ?
