FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello
That's right, your Punto is not read completely through CAN bus
Motor control and ABS should therefore be read without Modifiktation your ELMs.
For the airbag you need another interface (KKL)
Did you test the driver from my link?
These images are now better
make yet another picture from the chassis label
For I know the block is not in the you have the Restistor away.
Greetings Eddy

Same with this drivers. I've installed them, re-paired device few times, but no luck.
About airbeg, according to supported vehicles list it should be on CAN also (ELM C19). Or i didn't get this list right?
Here is image from chase with label:

Hello
Your Punto is from 2006 so this list should be true for you.
In 2006, the Punto did not have a C19 CAN bus
In your ELM even the chip (MCP2551) has been copied.
Although this is not protected.
again:
But this chip is only responsible for the CAN Bus Protocol
And the motor control and ABS on the 2006 Punto is not read via CAN bus
but via KWP2000
I guess setting error with you or your interface is damaged .
Greetings Eddy

Probably not damaged but it's not compatible i guess. Using other software i've successfully removed check engine error from one Alfa GT today, but i was not able to connect with MultiEcuScan on the Alfa also as on my Grande Punto.
I guess will have to buy KKL interface to access airbag module, although again for me it's bit confusing Supported Vehicle List. Why Grande Punto from 2006, that was manufactured until 2010 is placed in previous generation Punto that was manufactured from 2003.
In this case probably list should be updated in order to be clear which interfaces are needed for specific car.

Hello
Sorry, that was a read error from me, I've overread the Grande in Grande Punto.
Thus your statement with the C19 CAN bus is correct.
And you do not need a KKL interface for the air bag
There must be a setting error.
For, as I have already written.
Also at the interface with the bridge resistor, should in the MES test
All values are displayed with OK.
If your interface detected in the control panel without errors?
Sorry for the read error
Eddy

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
I can't get my registered version of MES to talk to my Alfa 159 Sportwagon Q4 3.2 - I've tried an older ELM 327 1.3 USB which doesn't even register so not bothering with soldering extra resistors or capacitors, I've tried an ebay USB lead with a 100% guarunteed connection - still not even a flicker, I've tried a Bluetotth ELM 327 V1.4 which passes all the MES test and says it is compatible with the CAN but just get 'timed out' errors after a couple of seconds prior to any connecting - I can't even get MES to connect to the engine ECU to read codes - I can connect to the same Bluetooth ELM 1.4 with an android phone and an OBD Torque App so reading engine codes is ok but I need to turn off my Airbag light - what am I doing wrong? Windows XP SP3 Laptop

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello
The motor control of your Alfa 159 3.2 jts is not read via CAN bus.
Therefore, modification with a resistor and capacitor is not needed.
For other controls in your Alfa it's necessary.
Therefore your fault can only lie in setting error.
or the wrong driver, where did you get the driver from?
try this
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
Otherwise, as described repeatedly.
- Installing drivers
- Set up interface to MES
- Check the Com port
- Latency to provide 1

Hello, can you help me? What diagnostic tool should I buy and how to edit. I have a Lancia Delta III 2008 2.0 JTDm 121 kW. Thanks for the advice.

Driver is FTDI latest version 2.10.00Therefore your fault can only lie in setting error.
or the wrong driver, where did you get the driver from?
try this
Latency is set by FIFO to 1
Bluetooth shows two com ports, COM6 Incoming COM7 Outgoing
I've managed to get to see Engine ECU information by using non-bluetooth stetting in interface type
Thanks for reply

Hello
You can watch a search for it, it is no matter which you buy
All work directly and engine ECU and ABS
For the other controls the bridge resistor must be removed.
However, this was often described here.
Greetings Eddy
