Nojustice wrote:OK Just to give you the full details on my situation.
I have just bought an Alfa 147 which has a flashing speedometer, a side light bulb missing which I have now replaced but the warning still remains, none working radio and the windows will not go down.
Tried looking into the window problem and removing the controllers showed scrapyard markings.
I have assumed both the radio and the Window controllers have been replaced and a Proxi-Alignment is required.
I bought the ELM327 adapter previously posted as well as AlfaODB so I could perform an alignment
When plugging in the ELM I was getting a mad dashboard, flashing and beeping constantly. I was able to connect to the engine ECU ok everytime and on VERY RARE occasions I was able to connect to the body computer (this kept connecting and disconnecting) and detect some faults occurring however I have not been able to read CAN status or perform a proxy alignment.
I have posted on your forum and have been given some advice.... so.....
I have now removed both the resistors and the capacitors you told me to remove and retried the Bluetooth ODB and.....
I no longer have the dash flashing and and beeping like made when the ELM is plugged in and....
I can now connect to the Body on most occasions and perform some active diagnostics (side light test, main beam test)
Whenever I try to read CAN Status I often get a disconnection and have to retry (very few occasions had a partial result)
I cannot get any response from Proxi-Alignment (keeps disconnecting)
Do I still need to do Yani's soldering step in order to fix this issue or is this a setting problem
Help please ... I am really close
Thanks for all your help so far
Hello
I do not know what you've done.
The two 100 ohm resistors and the 560 pF capacitors must not be removed.
Who writes something is wrong.
Are these two connections (100 ohm + 560 pF) is not present is often a
Built in bridge resistor, only one needs to be removed.!
Numbering of the resistor varies depending on the circuit board
It is not always R4 sometimes it is R2 / R 12 / R 21, etc.
From your description here, I can not say whether it is setting error
or a driver error is.
Most interface are shown here already and I have also marked the relevant resistance.
