FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello
With adapter (green) but you'd have still to your ABS and also the elec. steering
can read.
CAN bus controllers:
Whether your interface has this bridge resistance I can not say to you had the white connector housing (8 pins) to remove, or at least is a picture of both sides of the plug unfortunately
Do not need other pictures have never found one.
Greetings Eddy

Thank you Eddy! Removed R04 and everything works, no connection error anymore. I managed to turn on the light indicators for lock/unlock doors which had been disabled by default.

Thanks Eddy,
AlfaBD worked fine for my FIAT punto and now I learnt that the interface has no problem but all the Apps I got (including Torque) do not have the right specific protocol to speak with FIAT ECU. I tried the interface with MultiECUScan on Laptop and worked fine too. It would be great to have this software as an android app.
Many thanks

Hi everyone!
I have this ELM 327 device that already has proper resistors and capatitors and it connects to engine,
but I can't connect to service interval reset.
I haven't found solution here, or I missed it after I got tired from reading so can please someone
tell me what should I solder...PINs 1-3-7-12 to reset service interval?
On page 3 i saw someone has the same one working without any modification.
Other things like body computer are not important, but it would be nice if I could also connect to it ..
Car is Alfa GT 1.9JTD 150HP EDC16C39 CF4

I think I found solution, i should solder pins 1+7+9+12 to connect to
all systems on my GT.. I saw that on one of adapters (A1)
Can someone confirm this?
I think that I don not need to remove any resistors from board...

Hello isyk
No connecting with the pins it has nothing to do.
Since your service is read via CAN bus and on pins 1 +7 +9 +12 no CAN bus is read.
Drag white 8 pin plug on and do another picture from the site among them
Greetings Eddy

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello isyk
Your interface has no bridge resistor therefore you should thus can provide your service back. Without modification
You're probably not using the correct driver.
Try it once with this
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
To read on your ABS or xenon lamps you need the green adapters use solder the bridge described.
However, this has not to do with it that you can not read any Service, Body Comp, CAN setup etc..
What controls can you read now?

I managed only to connect to engine and read all parameters and reset ECU errors log.
I also noticed that my interface doesn't have bridge resistor, and that in theory everything
is OK with it, I'll try tomorrow after work with new driver to see is it working.
Till now I used standard Microsoft drivers that came with Win7.
Thanks for advice,
I'll report tomorrow is it working with FTDI driver
