connection problem with usb kkl cable

Hi,

I have a problem when i search for modules in multiecuscan, with my vag kkl cable connected to my pc multiecuscan did not found any module.
When i connect my elm327 the program find it.
When i look in device manager on my laptop the kkl module has no problems, and all settings are set correctly.
Is my kkl module broken or is there somting else what i can do?
I hope anyone can help me.

I want to read the airbag unit from my Alfa 147.
But my problem is, multiecuscan does not see my vag-kkl cable when it is connected only to my laptop and scan for interfaces.
When i have my elm327 connected and scan for interface multiecuscan find it.
Manual setting for kkl and test connection it wil give a timeout message.
Same test with elm327 ic ok it only gives latency too high.
When i want too connect to airbag (using elm327 with red cable connected) multiecuscan gives message to connect OBDII or K-Line interface.

The airbag you can read only the KKL interface, right
It may be just a setting error.

Have you converted to the KKL interface?
Did you set the COM port?
If your KKL interface detected in the control panel without errors?
If you press the KKL test what is displayed?

In device manager under ports (COM & LPT) i have a USB serial port set on COM 3.
Location = USB serial converter,
baud = 9600,
send and receive are both = 4092,
latency = 1,
time-outs both = 0,
And the device is working properly.

And under USB devices i have a USB serial converter.
And the device is working properly too.


In Multiecuscan i have set K-Line VAGCOM on COM 3.
KPW2000 timings on default.
High latency mode on and off (both tested).

Test result:

VagCom/KKL

Testing latency with 200 bytes of data...
Er is een time-out opgetreden voor de bewerking.

COMPLETED

Interface was never connected to my car during testing connection.

The LED on the interface does it light up when connected to laptop?
Mine is always off, even during test it never flash.
ELM327 LED is on when connected to laptop.
And flashes during testing his COM port.

Problem solved, bought a new kkl interface.
The old one died.
