FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Lukasz2110
Your ELM interface does not have 120-ohm resistor bridge!!
And yet, your ABS is not read via CAN bus.
Thus your mistake is another
Probably setting error
or
driver Error
Are you using an adapter? (A1, GREEN)
Your Search on the board is Pointless
Greetings Eddy

hello guys! nice to meet you, my name is rodney and I live in Brazil.
I would love the help of you, I have a fiat punto 1.8 8v 2008 to acquire a scanner bluetooth, it connects the multiecuscan but can not read any parameters, and I need to align the proxy as it replaces the central blue & me ...
this scanner is of a very small size and has a plate beneath the other .. I took some photos, if you can analyze be very grateful, and excuse the typos, I'm using google translator ..
Thank you all!
hugs

Mate
Very easy. Check the OBD pins 6 and 14 with a multimeter and see that with will have 120 Ohm
Then check with the multimeter the continuity to the MCP2551 pins 6 and 7
And you'll find the rezistor called 121 on PCB that it is not showed in your pics becasue you didn't removed adn we don't see it
Good luck
P.S. - the rezistor cannot be see it if you do not remove the pcb with bluetooth. It is in a position that you cannot be showed if you try to make a photo. But you can remove it without removed the upper PCB

Thanks.

Hello
Your picture is unfortunately very bad and blurry
But if I am not mistaken is on your board nor the bridge resistor
available
Do something please once again from the third image with a macro function
Because, as I see the resistor of the MCP 2551 is still available?
Greetings Eddy

Removing the rezisto has nothing to do with the usB
Check it in the Device Manager and see how it is ( yellow maybe )
And instalkl agian the drivers

Mate you are in wrong place
All you ahve to do it to search in google what softwears you need for Audi and Ford and much more what tools because the ELM327 it is not a good choice.
I suppose that in VAG car you use the softwears that come with interface and that's one have coverage only in Engine ECU
For VAG car ( your Audi ) I recomand you VAG-COm/VCDS
For your Ford you need other softwear and you'll have a better coverage in all controlers
But please you don't need to do any modification in ELM327 tool
Good luck

My ELM 327 v1.4 from China for 15 USD semms to be ok after this famous resistor removing.....CAN is working properly ,but software (FiatEcuscan 3.6.2) on Windows 7 Home Premium is very unstable. When I choose one of the engine options to scan ,many times the corresponded window became closed and back to the initial screen.I thnink ,the connection between PC and my car is not stable, but interface test gives all answers"OK" each time of test.
I red in Fiatecuscan guide:"If you have a built-in serial port or PL2303 usb serial port you will need to lower the buffers to minimum as shown on the next screenshot. Note that for PL2303 USB serial port you will need to modify some registry settings in order to make it support 10400 bps.
Somebody knows -how to do it in Windows registry?
many thanks for very usefull discussion and help on this forum
