I want read my car statistics (FIAT BRAVO 1.6 mtj 120cv 2010) with Android Torque. I pair my BT ELM with my smartphone, and everything is ok, but Torque says that he can't send OK command to ECU. It seems that he can't communicate with the ECU. Additionally if ELM stay attached for some minutes an AIR BAG FAILURE message appear. The message disappears after some time. I don't know what i have to do. Please help me!
This is the PCB of my ELM327:

Hello Wizzy87
Your error probably has nothing to do with the board.
because
- Only Multiecuscan has the connection problems in the CAN bus
- The ECU will not read your Bravo with CAN bus
- Your ELM interface does not have this bridge resistance at issue in this thread
- With Torque I know I not good
- To the airbag light on your program tries to comunicate If your tests with the airbag control unit. This should not happen.
Maybe your ELM interface is broken or torque can not read your Bravo.
Greetings Eddy

Hi Eddy,
I've bought a cheap cable from ebay - and its showing all OK on the tests, but when I try to connect to the car, I'm not having much luck.
I've got an Alfa Brera v6.
I'm not able to connect to any of the CAN bus interface.
The cable is showing as v1.5.
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks in advance.

Hello guys,
I have bought following chinese ELM327 cable (see the photo), I removed the R04 resistor and then successfully connected to the engine unit of my Lancia Lybra 1.8. But my main goal is to connect to the airbags unit and erase dashboard light which appeared after recent changing of battery. I couldnt see in the list of cars that airbag unit of my car is supported by any of ELM cables, but I have seen some pin changing tutorials (here or at some other internet forums) and I have to admit that this airbag unit cable topic is little bit messy for me. So I am asking, is there any way how to connect to the airbag unit with attached ELM cable? Using some cable reduction, switching some pins, or whatever...? Or do I have to buy extra KKL cable for that purpose?
Thanks

Hi Guys
Here in the forum, more and more people report problems with the connection of the
Torque , Carport , ec. have diagnostic software to other vehicle manufacturers.
Here in this forum, it goes exclusively to
Multiecuscan
This software has been developed for Italian cars (and Suzuki SX).
It's no easy to remove any resistor And hoping for the connection works.
You may not believe your Torque, Carport, ec. software on each and every vehicle works.
Therefore, I will no longer respond to these posts. !!
Greetings Eddy

Hello aandree
Yes you need a KKL interface!!
With the ELM you can not connect to your airbag control unit.
Remove it and the bridge resistance have you done unnecessarily.
Your Lancia Lybra has no CAN bus
Go buy a KKL with the adapter 2 (red)
