DeActivate parking sensor

Post by joopajoo »

Hi,
Thanks for the awesome software!

I have ducato 250 3.0 Multijet. There is two parking sensor failed. New ones cost over 400 euros, so no thanks.
Is there any change to disable or deactivate parking sensors or controller with using multiecuscan?

Thanks!

According to the Supported Vehicles list (http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx) your Ducato is supported and the support INCLUDES Parking Control.

I've looked at the Parking Control and the only Adjustment possible is "Enable/Disable the presence of tow hook on vehicle."

Detailed information on this "presence of tow" function is not easily found on the internet. I think the function is such that when a compatible tow hook is installed then the parking sensors are automatically turned off. If that is the case then you had probably wire the unit in the car to think that a tow hook is installed. However the control unit may still signal errors.

What you may have to do in unplug the control unit and do a proxy alignment to logically remove the unit from being registered with the Body Computer.

In theory MultiECUScan can do this proxy alignment on your vehicle.

I am hoping someone who has actually played with the Parking Sensor functions with MultiECUScan or has better knowledge than me can post back more definitive information for you.
