Grande Punto 1.3MJ ODOMETER

Post by tzok »

I have indicated this trouble before, but it still exists:
READ PARAMETERS:
Odometer: 42 712,7 km
while on the dashboard there is 145 640 km

and one more thing:
READ PARAMETERS:
Battery Voltage: 11,381 V
while the voltmeter (it's not a €5 toy form the supermarket) connected to the cigarette lighter plug shows 12,3V at the same time. But I must admint that I've got broken alternator - it sounds really bad and occasionally causes an intermittent error:
READING ERROR CODES:
1: P0621 - Alternator D+ signal
That's all what was recorded in the log, but program indicated "Alternator D+ signal short to ground" - so the "error-sign" is not stored in the log.

I've checked and all other modules report correct Odometer value, only the ECU reports different, also it reports only 2 service inspections (altough with correct current odometer value and value at last service). So there's a slight chance that ECU has been replaced.
ECU ------------------------- Dashboard
42 712,7 km --------------- 145 640 km (read out from display)
43 005,2 km --------------- 145 936,0 km (read out from Marelli Instrument Panel)
54 936,0 km --------------- 158 014 km (read from SRS)

Actually there is a kind of bug in the ECU... fusebox in my car was damp and relay for ECU power supply sometimes was turning on and off repeatedly while ignition was off. Finally this lead to a total reset of data stored in ECU, the result was a "virgin state" of immobilizer synchronization, all injectors coded as AxAA and... odometer reset. So now my ECU odometer shows less than 10 000km ;)
