FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Laserbit
If you can only connect to ECU, ABS and Steering
an error in your connections of the switch must be present!
For all other controllers in Mito be read via pin 1 and pin 9
Eighth again on the pin 1 and pin 6 switch
and pin 9 on the 14 pin
Greetings Eddy

So I need to check if the connections between the board and OBD connector. Do you have the correct pinout (from 1 to 8 of the circuit)?
edit.. I found this: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/14/74476962.jpg Could you double check if it is correct? So I will check if it mine is the same.
Thanks!

Hello Laserbit
What are the components in the red frame??
Have you added these components???
Remove this! This is wrong!
And also remove the lines with the red X, but you had already recognized.
Greetings Eddy
This information is wrong, not pin 8(from 1 to 8 of the circuit)?

Obviously the parts marked with X are the orginal connection that I removed with the Switch introduction, the other components are for the old ELM327, mine has such components already integrated on the back of the board. Now I tried to solder the wirescoming fro the board on pins 5 and 6 directly on the OBD pins 1 and 9, in order to exclude a switch malfunction. I will keep you updated on the test result!

I am using Wi-Fi and it works perfectly, check my posts when I was asking help for removing resistor. I was using ver 1.3, did not made the upgrade to 1.4 yet.alfa156sarajevo wrote:Hi Eddy man,
Few questions for you:
- do you have experience regarding ELM 327 WiFi OBD interface?
- did you manage it to work with MES?
I have clone elmWIFIobd and it works with AOBD but not with MES.
In test mode everything is perfect but in real connection does not work...

Does your switch to a high internal resistor??
finallly I found the solution! i soldered the wires directly "crossed" and everything worked properly, so I need to trash my switch and find one with a low impedance... You were 100% right..! Thank you, I was finally able to reset the service on my car!!

Hi Laserbit
Ultimately, it could only be the switch too!
Nice that you know what was wrong now

Hi, I have a V1.5a ELM327 with which I can communicate only to the engine. What do I have to change to enter the body? I attached the photo.
