IAW 1ABB.92 / KWP71

Post by slimtomi »

Hello Everybody!

I am new here. I don't know who the programmer is (maybe Yani?). I wrote two email to support@multiecuscan.net but still didn't get any answer :(
I know that it was hard to create this software and there is a lot of work behind it. Respect for it!
I have a FIAT Palio Weekend 1.6 16V (178B3000) with IAW 1ABB.92 ECU
I fix it everytime and never take it to mechanic. When I have a job with electronics this software would be very helpful.
I only have one question: Is it possibble that IAW 1ABB ECU will be supported in MultiEcuScan?
I found some information about its communication protocoll:
- it uses Keyword Protocoll 71
- for this it uses K and L-line (L-line is for initialization at 5 baud)
Do I have to pay for this job or this ECU never be supported? Many people has got car with this ECU or 1AF (Palio, Brava, Bravo) If you put this feature into registered version that is ok. We buy it then. But nobody has 2000 GBP for a car diagnostic tool :(
I'm waiting for the answer.
Thank you!

Tamas

Ok, let me give you some inside info about the next release...
We are preparing support for the old IAW 1AB/AF ECUs... and, if all tests go well with this ECU, we will publish this release in less than a month....

Hello Yani!

At first, thank you for your answer! Me and other users are really happy to know this information. We are looking forward to release this version.
This software is really good and smart but now unfortunately I cannot use it with my car. I want to buy the MultiEcuScan and after the new release I will do.
Good luck for the tests!

Tamas

Hi Yani!

I tested MES 1.5 It works very well. I found some little bug in it I will report it in Bugs topic. However, I like this software and it is really useful!
I'm missing an option: "Self-Adaptation Reset"
I can see that MES can make a self-adaptation reset on many ECUs. I think it is possible on 1AB/1AF family as well.
You wrote in MES (when I choose Magneti Marelli IAW 49F):

Marelli 1AF (Bravo, Brava, Marea):
- any motor malfunction (for ex. irregular minimum, emissions out of limit, lack of power, incorrect operation, etc.) will be eliminated following the procedure and PREVIOUSLY repairing and clearing the fault codes.

The text above can be found in earlier versions of MES as well so I am sure you had job with it. Will you add this reset function to MultiEcuScan?

Is software compatible wit IAW-18FD, and thus it can be diagnosed with IAW Scan 2... or maybe Yani will finally include these old IAW ECUs in MES - all the code is tested and ready to be used, IAW Scan2 is Open Source/BSD Licensed.
