Newbie needing to get started

Post by Retro Pedro »

First of all saying hello from a newbie :)
Then please can I go on to ask for advice on what connector required and how do I download the software.
My car is a Fiat Doblo 2005 1.9JTD 8 valve 105 (diesel) which at present as a non starting, glow plug flashing and EML light constantly on issues.
After joining the Fiat Forum I found reference to 'multiecuscan', and being a bit of a IT novice, thought it better to ask advice on here to be sure that I do the download correctly. I understand the options are a 'free' and 'purchased' download versions. My belief is that the 'purchased' version will allow me to reset and clear faults.
My request is:
(a) What connector lead/plug do I need to successfully plug into my car?
(b) How do I download the required multiecuscan software onto my laptop?

My laptop is quite old and runs Windows XP Home and only has 1 gig memory. Will this suffice for the multiecuscan software?

Many thanks for any forthcoming help and if applicable, links to help me through what I require.

Hello Retro Petro

For your Fiat Doblo you need the safest both interface
KKL and ELM

This KKL for ECU, ABS, Airbag

And this ELM for ECU and more for instrument panel, Body Comp.
Service, CAN setup

Thank you Eddy
I'll try to find them in a UK listing to save on postage.
Is it easy to purchase and download the software (MultiECUscan)?
Every time I try I get a internet can't connect message.
