Cannot connect ECU - Fiat Stilo Abarth Selespeed.

Hi,
Sorry for my English but I'm Dutch.

I'm new to Multiecuscan and I have a few problems.
I bought the ELM 327 usb interface and installed Multiecuscan.
Installed the drivers for the ELM 327.
My car is a Fiat Stilo Abarth 2.4. Selespeed 2005.
Now, when I put the ELM in the OBDII car connector and in the laptop and check options in Multiecuscan
the ELM327 is listed with the right Com port.
When I click the test button with MAR on all possible module connections are listed.
Now when I try " Engine " and click the connect button it displays Connecting to ECU .... and after a while
" No ECU connection, check your cables etc "
This is with all modules.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong ?

ELM interface which did you buy?
because many of them can not read Multiecuscan with CAN bus
But the ECU, ABS, steering but should work.


Controlling the drivers again!
Install it here

Make the settings again
- COM port
- Latency Time in 1 (previously 16) -
- Settings interface

As I said, when I run the test all ( ELM 327 ) modules are listed but connection fails.

Try to install the driver you mentioned the next few days.

With this interface to connect to your ECU needs to be produced.
Also ABS and steering are to be read with adapter (green)

Only for CAN bus protocols, it do not work properly

Thanks again for the info so far.

Well, I installed the ftdi driver and it works now.
Now I noticed that the free multiecuscan version has a lot of limitations ( in RED )
But it can connect to the BLUE ones : Service, CanInfo, Selespeed correctly.
Would be better if the free software has a full unlimited version with a timelimit to test everyting.
I could not test the modules yet where an adapter is needed because I don't have one.

Do I need one adapter or more ? Can you tell me wich one ?
