kris which resistor have you removed?

Hello, I've bought new elm327 and I have same pcb, except one missing resistor, different type of obd cable connector and I have connector for usb cable inside. Maybe the missing resistor on my pcb is the same, which kris removed. So here is the picture with missing resistor:

thanks for helping, i removed it but nothing changed. can line not working, k-line working fine

@nickromano maybe you don't remove the correct resistor. This resistor should be 120 Ohm, 121 written on smd resistor. This resistor is between the CAN-L and CAN-H is simple to understand it. Pin 6 and 14 of OBD connector.

I have to same elm module (page 1 look the pictures)
and I have same problem
it does not work when connect it usb!

usb driver is ok
but software not detect elm327

when type hyper therminal ATZ
not responding !

this pcb is different yours
NO ANY R04 or no resistor between canl-canh 100 ohm

there is "not usb problem"
Im try all usb port and drivers
also I have another bluetooth elm327 (blue sticker)
its working very good my notebook

Im searching solution

Im found some mistake
(Im read before some guy write in this forum someting else)

1-
in the can line two capacitor are mistake (10nf)
Im change it to 680p

2-
elm327 is must be connect obd port
or must be connect 12 volt
otherwise no 5volt come to microcontroller

now its work...
but I can not already ATZ or other any command in hyper terminal ??

I have an identical interface and have trouble connecting to form one module access is the module can info.

I have te same ELM 327 v 1.5, whit the same electronic.
It work fine on Windows XP, but I have problems on Windows 7 32bit or 64bit.

Any solution?

alway great is someone solves it and doenst give the whole story how he did it.
But thats at all the forums most of the time i learned...

I have the same problem with my v3.0 board.
Engine ecu connects ok all others i get the u need vagcom kable message.

I whas looking at my board and thinking.
What about R24 (2102 on it) on the backside to remove?

Would it help if i removed that one ?

Hello. I have the same elm327 v3.0. What do I have to do to connect with other modules than the ECU?
