Alfa 156 Ecu connection problems

Post by besionok »

Hello,
when i try to connect to my alfa 156 2.0 16V Selesteed 1999 Ecu i got some problems with ISO. It show's the error INVALID ISO CODE and does not allow even to read the errors. But it reads ECU ISO code
Does anyone have any ideas about what should i do?

Hi,

your selespeed version is probably not supported. Give me your ISO code and I'll check.

AND, PLEASE BE MORE PATIENT!!! There is no need to send me PM with the same question that you have just asked on the forum.

Hello
first ost here.
tried scanning a 156 2.0 jts (man gearbox) with version 1.6 of multiecuscan. Hardware ibm T23 with vagcom kkl (normal). Got the ISO message (as the oster above) - selected continue (Y) - and managed to scan the ecu, erase errors, get real time arameters, etc...
two weeks ago - with ecuscan downloaded about a month ago (1.6)
today - same car, same interface, but different notebook (asus eee 701) - managed to connect, same ISO message, ignored it, connected, read the codes, software etc, errors - but no live data... i cannot check any of the boxes for the arameters...
latency set to 1...
tried with ecuscan 1.6 downloaded 2 days ago.
thanks in advance

This is your engine ECU (not the selespeed). It is Bosch ME3.1 and is not supported by Multiecuscan yet.

I don't have an idea... Someone else reported the same problem on another forum and the issue was fixed by reinstalling some stuff on the laptop.. but I don't remember what... maybe you can try updating the .NET framework.

Thanks again Yani - that was the solution. I've reinstalled .net framework - this time version 3.5 (instead of 2.0) and it worked perfectly - same laptop, same interface, same car - managed to read all live data, and do some graphs.
